Channel Catfish from the Ohio River
By theboss on Aug 15, 2009 | In Fish Pic's
This nice size channel catfish was caught directly in the churning tailwater of the Robert C Byrd Lock and Dam south of Gallipolis Ohio on the Ohio River. Chicken Liver was used for bait, a heavy 4oz pyramid lead sinker, and a good size circle hook. Unbelievably, this was banked in July during a hot afternoon. Normally, not my favorite time to fish, but I've found the best time to fish is whenever you get a chance to do it.
